  • Booking Information: Boat name, boat dimensions (length, beam, draft), check-in/check-out dates, and any special requests.
  • Payment Information: Credit card details and billing address. Note: Payment information is processed by Stripe and is not stored on our servers.
  • Communications: Messages you send to mooring owners, support inquiries, and feedback you provide.
  • Mooring Owner Information: If you list moorings, we collect business details, bank account information for payouts, and identity verification documents as required by our payment processor.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Device Information: Browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and IP address.
  • Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, search queries, and interaction patterns.
  • Location Data: General location based on IP address, and precise location if you grant permission for map features.
  • Cookies: We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain sessions, remember preferences, and analyze usage. See Section 7 for details.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Send booking confirmations, reminders, and updates

3. SMS and Text Message Communications

Message Frequency: Message frequency varies based on your booking activity. Typically 1-3 messages per booking.

Message and Data Rates: Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

Opt-Out: You can opt out of SMS notifications at any time by replying STOP to any message, or by updating your communication preferences in your account settings. Opting out of promotional messages will not affect transactional messages related to active bookings.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

  • With Mooring Owners: When you make a booking, we share your name, contact information, and boat details with the mooring owner to facilitate your reservation.
  • With Boaters: If you are a mooring owner, your listing information (location, pricing, photos) is publicly visible. Your contact information is shared with boaters who make bookings.
  • Service Providers: We share information with third-party service providers who help us operate our platform, including:
    • Stripe (payment processing)
    • Amazon Web Services (hosting and infrastructure)
    • Email service providers (transactional emails)
    • SMS providers (text message notifications)
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Pubmoor, our users, or others.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
  • Secure password hashing
  • Regular security assessments and updates
  • Access controls limiting employee access to personal data
  • PCI-compliant payment processing through Stripe
